Join us for the 7th annual Cranberry Country Triathlon!
The seventh annual Cranberry Country Triathlon will be held Sunday, August 24, 2008. This is an Olympic Distance race (0.8 mile swim/24.9 mile bike/6.2 mile run) through the beautiful cranberry bogs and country roads of Lakeville, Massachusetts. This year's Cranberry Country Triathlon has been selected as the USAT Northeast Region's Club Championship and is based at the Ted Williams Camp on Rte. 18 in Lakeville, less than an hour from Boston. The swim goes around Loon Pond, the bike takes you over scenic roads and the run includes shady sections and plenty of water stations. For complete information on the race go to the Race Details page of this site. The Cranberry Country Triathlon promises you a safe and scenic race. If you've got kids its a great venue for bringing them... when the rest of the family isn't cheering on Mom or Dad, they can enjoy the playground, toss a ball or frisbee around on the baseball fields, or practice their "ollie" at the skateboard park. Find this and more at the Ted Williams camp. And after the race there's a fabulous barbecue, plus a DJ and live music... its a truly festive atmosphere. ATTENTION FEMALE TRIATHLETES: Sun Multisport Events, the organizers of the Cranberry Country Triathlon, have partnered with the coaches at B&S Fitness to develop a trainaing camp specifically designed to prepare you for optimal performance when you race the Cranberry. The camp is the weekend of July 26-27 and includes training on the Cranberry course as well as classroom style seminars covering training plans, nutrition, strength training and more.
